Fantasy Team-Up: Kang The Conqueror and Chronos

TGIT!!!!!!

Just got watching a Marvel Legends update by a YouTuber named Rektangular, who posted an interesting update about future ML waves coming out this year, with one update in particular caught my attention.

Apparently the next planned ML Spider-Man wave will feature none other than Spider-Man Noir himself:

I know it's just a coincidence that I was talking about including him in the next Spider-Man wave, and then BAM, he's in like flint for the next wave.....but is it? ;)

Also included in what's rumored to be a Lizard BAF wave is Demogoblin (We didn't really need a new one really) Mysterio( curious how and if they managed to top the 2005 version, could be the Ultimate Universe or current animated Spider-Man look) Spider-Woman(have no idea who this is) Spider-Punk (Googum and I will like this one) Prowler(probably his current look and he's also an option I wanted in the next wave, so here he is) and Gwenpool. Not a bad line-up actually.
But yeah, weird how that all works out isn't it?

On to today's post, and another edition of Fantasy Team-Up, where I pair up two individuals or teams that haven't to my knowledge been paired up yet for various reasons, and well team 'em up.

This week I'm teaming up two well-known time-themed super villains, Kang the Conqueror and Chronos the time bandit.
Talk about a no-brainer right?

How cool would it be to see these two pair up in order to rule time, or whatever it is they'd do together to cause grief for their respective foes, namely the Avengers and Justice League.

or more specifically maybe these two, Booster Gold and Rip Hunter?

Of course egos would collide and get in the way of what could be guaranteed success, and they'll inevitably turn on each other, leaving them both prone to getting to their asses kicked by said respective foes.

But before then, imagine the fun they'd have fucking with the time stream in both universes, speaking nerd speak about time.....

What do guys think? Could this team-up go the distance and some serious, irreversible damage, or is it destined to all slip through their hands like grains of sand?

Let me know in the comments' section below.

Have a good weekend everyone.....

Dream Waves: Spider-Man

What's up people?

Today's edition is all about Spider-Man, specifically how the next Spider-Man wave of figures should look like.

Now yes I've done this before, but this time I focusing on what characters need to be included in the next wave as well as making adjustments based on how Hasbro wants a wave to look like and who they include based I don't know, market research? You just know there HAS to be a Spider-Man figure representing the line....

Anyhoo, here's what I got.....

Spider-Man: Hydro-Man Wave:

1). Puma

I'll just keep harping about Hasbro giving us a Puma figure until they finally do. Fuck 'em!
And I want alternative heads and hands too damnit!

2). Silver Sable

We need a Silver Sable figure. STAT!!!!! Do it Hasbro!!!

3). Paladin

He's due a figure, and he'd be really easy to make aside from a new head.

4). Spider-Man Noir

This one's a true no-brainer, as he's a very popular character. He'll need a trench-coat (hopefully removable) as well as a removable hat.

5). The Vermin

Why not the Vermin? He's due for a figure.

6). The Prowler

I'd prefer the classic version myself, but I have a feeling Hasbro would go with the current version, which would be fine I guess, as long as we get a Prowler figure out of the deal.

7). Spider-Ham

C'mon, we all want one. You know you do too. Of course this little guy could pull a Puck and be a BAF himself, and if so, that's fine. If not, put him in this wave.

BAF: Hydro-Man

It's waaaay past time we got a Hydro-Man figure, and I say why not just reuse the recent Sandman BAF? You'll need a new head probably, but other than that a straight up repaint should suffice.

What do you guys think? Miss anyone that you think Hasbro would defintiely use in place of one of my picks? let me know in the comments' section.

Let's Hear It For Captain Trainor

If you haven't been reading the new incarnation of Doom Patrol by Gerald Way (The Umbrella Academy) you're really, really doing yourself a disfavor.
I really enjoy the way he does his own thing on the book and yet still references and acknowledges past DP creators like Drake, Morrison and Giffen.

Couldn't get it, but I was reading the latest issue, issue 5, and it's a damn real treat for the reader.
To catch you up, Captain Larry Trainor AKA The Negative Man, had woken up in an unfamiliar place, separated by the negative energy being that used to live within him.
Eventually he tracks it down and quickly finds out his energy spirit is a part of whole collective of
negative spirits that get partnered up with other hosts.

Long story short, after a long debate, Larry choices to willingly rejoin with his old negative spirit to help people. As a reward, the council of negative energy beings make it so that whenever the Doom Patrol gets into a fight and Larry's needed, his negative energy being can go off and fight whole Larry's in his own custom made reality where he can live a normal life, the normal life he would've had had he never encountered the negative energy being while test-piloting his doom experimental plan.
|
Actually that's a pretty damn good set-up. Being  able to trip while you sleep like he does. Still dangerous, but makes the experience more pleasurable.

I bet when the Chief finds out, he'll be pissed he didn't do that for Larry sooner.

Oh and he looks like a blend of his old Morrison-created identity Rebis, and his regular classic, look. I look it.

I'm going to buy the first volume trade collection myself next week since I'm missing a few issues. But yeah, very worth checking out, as is that whole Young Animal Vertigo imprint, with titles like Shade the Changing Girl, Cave Carson has A Cybernetic Eye, Mother Panic, and more.
Check 'em out. You never know what your new favorite will be.

Jonah Hex and The Brown Dirt Cowboys

Blame it on the song "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboys" by Elton John being stuck in my head for awhile now, but it inspired me to do what I used to do, and insert song lyrics on images of comic characters. I've done it before, and today I'm doing it again, but this time with Jonah Hex since I figured it kinda' fits him...you know, being a cowboy of sorts and all.

Enjoy.....

BTW, if you're interested, here's the actual song:

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
